Day 9.3: Audience Research: Costumes

I have chosen this as a costume idea because of the mask and formal attire. From my research and questionnaire results, I will be having a mysterious villain within the film, to allow for the villain to remain mysterious I will use a mask to conceal the identity of the villain.

I have also chosen this idea for a costume because, of the previous idea mentioned. With the target audience wanting a mysterious and unknown main villain a mask is an easy and interesting way to allow for the main villain to remain a mystery within the trailer of the film. I could also end the trailer with the villain removing the mask revealing who he is, but use a camera angle where it is shown towards the main actors, but not the audience.

I have chosen this costume as the highest rated costumes for the main actors of the trailer was a casual attire, I have chosen this as a possible costume for the main actors as it easily allows for the audience to distinguish them between the main villain of the film. This costume also continues along with the story of the main actors being undercover police officers, this can be done with the addition of a badge hidden within the jacket to still show that these actors are the heros.

I have chosen consider this costume for the extra's within the trailer, this costume could be used within a created police station setting to allow to continue with the flow and not detract from the trailer of the movie, the use of this costume enables the extra's to continue the flow of the story without having to explain their purpose.
