Day 2; Research Into Technical Aspects ~ Empire Transformers

The distinctive Masthead of "EMPIRE" is situated in the primary optical area (POA). This allows for the title of the magazine to be instantly recognized by the viewer. The POA also contains a banner of a World Exclusive interview, this also attracts the viewers into the POA as it is a source that is only fount in this magazine due to it being world exclusive.
The Medium Shot in the middle of the magazine in the Optical Focus this is used as a  centre focus for the movie magazine as in 2007 this was a major release. Unusually there is no framing around the main Optical Focus image in the magazine, this goes against conventitions of usual magazines and allows for the magazine to stand out.
The diagonal line of the Gutenburg Diagram guides the audience through the optical focus of Optimus Prime then towards the terminal area (TA) which contains the other moves being featured in the magazine. This Gutenburg Diagram allows for the viewer to view the entirety of information in the magazine as all of the information on the cover follows the line.
Area of Thirds is also used on this magazine cover, the areas include, vertical lines include; Firstly the start of the EMPIRE magazine title, and a promotional banner. in the second area there is the Optical Focus and a  Cover line containing the information about Transformers in the magazine. The third area contains a sub headline allowing the viewer to see what else is within the magazine. The horizontal lines include; Firstly the start of the EMPIRE magazine title, a subheadline and the start of the Optical Focus. The second area contains the picture caption and the headline. The third area contains a sub headline and the barcode in the dead corner.
