Day 12: Pictures Used Within Trailer - Production Company Image
For the production company image, I had decided to use photoshop with a few images to try and create something unique.
I started with three images of Alpaca's from a zoo, I then cut them out of their background and replaced the background with an image of the moon in space. I re-positioned the image so that the moon and all the alpacas could be seen. I created this in the style of 3 wolf moon, which is an already famous painted, yet I had done it with Alpaca's.
Though this is the first time that I had attempted to create an image of this magnitude on photoshop, I believe that it went successfully, there are some flaws with the image, such as - The alpaca's have a slight white border around them, which can look unprofessional if it is too obvious.
The files that I used individually were not Royalty free, though as an entity they are a new and unique product that I have created myself in Photoshop.
After creating the image I used the same font style as I have done in the previous images used in the movie trailer, though I had to change the colour of the text as white would not appear very well on the picture due to the stars.
Here is an Image of the final product;

Day 12; Film Product - Images Planning on Using In Trailer
I will filter the image blue so that it appeals to the police genre more as Blue is the colour used to represent Justice and the Police.
Here is the image after I have edited it, I will need to add different text to each image I create to fit with each section of the trailer it will be in, the text that is shown will also be accompanied by audio within the trailer.
Here is an example of a finished product after I have added the text, I will continue to use this colour and font for my Poster section of the Product as-well to continue the flow and continuity of the project.
Here Is more examples of the finished project.

Day 11: Reflection of Filming
I beleive that the filming of the weekend 23rd of November till the 26th of November, went generally well. On the Friday, 23rd November, I had started to film within my own home, this allowed me to maximise the amount of filming time that I had available to me for the day as we had started later than usual, around 2pm. The filming that I had completed this day was of good quality, it include scenes where I had one of the actors "Tied up" to a fake bomb that I had created on a laptop, this is just a program I had created in computing to countdown from 1:00, it will allow for the trailer to create suspension in the viewer and give them a reason to watch as they want to know the outcome.
On the Sunday of the weekend of filming the 25th of November, I believe it was extremely successful, this is due to the fact that we went to preform filming within Longton Park and the weather was clear and not raining, this allowed for me to maximise the amount of time I had for filming and allowed me to film multiple scenes that day, such as Chase scenes & a scene where the main villain can be seen with the main actor. I also had time to film master-shots of the Gun in the filming to allow for the genre of the film trailer to be established right from the start.
On Monday of the weekend of filming 26th of November, I believe that this day was extremely unsuccessful, this is due to the fact that the weather was dark and raining that day, this meant that the amount of time I could spend filming this day was at a minimum. On this day we also started later than usual, at the time of 3:30 as one of the actors needed to attend college that day, this also added to the fact that a minimum amount of filming was preformed this day. Despite the weather and time being against me, I still managed to film a few scenes within my home on that day, as the weather was unacceptable to film outside, this allowed for me to not waste a day I had planned for filming and to use it as effectively as possible.
I will attempt to film again on the next weekend, December 1st till December the 3rd, this will allow me to maximise the amount of time I have in class for editing the film and also the amount of time I have filming as the most productive the previous week was Saturday/Sunday.
Previous Filming; Dates - 29th October, 30th October, 1st November, 2nd November & 31st October, 3rd November, 4th of November for editing.
I believe that the filming process upon the dates, 29th-30th of October & 1st-2nd of November went well, Firstly the 29th of October, I used this filming time to record footage within the Phoenix Park behind section, I first decided to film the scene where the criminal had been caught and let away accidentally, due to unforeseen circumstances of one of the main actors not being available often as planned, I have had to edit the general plan of the movie to replace him with a lone main role actor, used previously within the filming, for this reason the filming that I have recorded on this day, will still be used, but cannot be used in the same comedic effect as I was hoping for before, this saves me from having wasted a day of filming.
On the 30th of October, I attempted to film in a more dark setting than previously, this proved to be futile as the video in editing turned out to be completely black as there was not enough lighting for the camera to be able to pick up the picture, the sound files of this day are still usable, but the recorded footage is not. Luckily on this day I also decided to film the exterior of the police station as the intro of the trailer, this went successfully and allowed me to not have wasted an entire day due to bad lighting.
On the 1st of November, I re-filmed the scenes that I had filmed within the dark setting, this allows me to have access to the previously recorded sound within the same scene in darkness, and the video within the lighted scene if they are both needed.
On the 2nd of November, I did not record this day as the weather was unsuitable for filming, instead for this day I added it to my list of editing as previously mentioned.
I have also listed other days that I have used for time with the camera, but not for filming, these are dates that I had used for editing, due to I having to re-create some scenes of the film and change my design plan slightly, the scenes that I have edited within these days are generally useless as I now only have one main actor, though some scenes can still be used, just not to the same effect as I had edited them. ~ 31st October, 3rd November & 4th November

Day 10.9.3: Planning - Movie Poster Design Concept /Sketch §3
This is just a small design that I briefly drew as I had an idea of implementing Time-Travel and other elements into the movie trailer as to allow for a more creative design when editing the trailer. If I did this I would have to create new Story-Boards for the shots and have to film more scenes which will take an extended amount of time to complete.
The design does not have any text on, as it was a quick design I just used squiggles for the text, above the actors there will be their names, allowing for the audience to easily identify who the actors in the film is.
Under the mask in the centre of the page there will be a quote about the movie from a respectable source, this will appeal to the audience as they will trust the source and believe that the movie will be interesting.
The text under the two stick men will include, the release date of the trailer, and more information about who else is involved with the movie, for example directors and editors. This allows for the poster to appear more formal and professional as the majority of film posters have this feature.
The font style that I will use will be based upon the soundtrack bands text font, this will allow me to easily appeal to listeners of that genre of the music as they will relate to the context of the text and will be interested with the trailer.
Conventionally this poster follows the rule of thirds as the Title of the movie is in the first section of the vertical third, with mask and the two actors being within the second section, followed closely by the release date and the movie notes in the final third vertically of the poster.
Horizontally, the first section contains one of the two main actors which aids to framing the mask within the Optical Focus of the Poster. The second section contains the mask, which is framed via the main actors located on either side of the mask, it is also framed from the title of the movie above the mask and the text under the mask, these all allow for the mask to be the central focus of the Poster and what the Movie will be related and recognised with. The third and final section of the Poster contains the other main actor who aids to framing the mask within the Optical Focus.
The colour scheme of this movie Poster will be Black, Blue & White, this will allow me to use shadowing upon the mask allowing it to remain mysterious and related to the genre of the film, while the Blue & White will allow me to relate the movie with Protection and the Police Force.
Day 10.9.2: Planning - Movie Poster Design Concept /Sketch §2
This poster is similar to the previous poster, with the two main actors being used as framing for the centre of the poster, although this time the centre focus of the movie poster is the criminal within the movie who is masked.
Similar to the previous poster the two main actors contain their names above their head, this will allow for the audience to instantly relate to who the main actors are within the film.
Unconventionally from a distance this poster does not look like a crime/comedy movie as the central focus of the film does not instantly relate to the genre that the film falls under, although when the viewer of the poster looks at the poster it is easily recognisable that the film is a crime comedy due to the name of the film and the attire of the two main actors of the film.
Under the Optical Focus of the poster is a caption, this caption will be used as a quote from a trust able and reliable source, allowing for the movie to instantly appear in a good-light in the viewers eyes and appeal to a wider audience.
The name of the movie above the Optical Focus is instantly related with crime, which is the genre of the film I am creating, the name in this design also depicts where the movie is set allowing the viewer to recognise the area and relate it to crime.*
In this poster design I will be using shadows greatly, I will shadow the mask as to appear mysterious and hidden so that the viewer of the magazine can instantly recognise that the mask is related to the criminal of the movie and it does not seem out of place.
For the colour scheme of this Poster I will be using, Blue, White and Black, this will allow me to easily use shadows within the poster as the black will be a primary part of the poster, but it will also allow me to use the colours that are easily related with the police force and protection so that the viewer can instantly recognise the genre of the film.
The clothing choices on the Posters main actors will relate to how they act within the movie trailer, with Quinn being a more laid-back and "cool" undercover police officer, whereas Smith will be a more serious and professional undercover police officer & the audience can instantly recognise this.
Unlike the previous movie poster I included the release date and the notes of the movie, this allows for the last thing that the viewer sees of the poster to be related to the release date of the poster and something that they will remember about the poster. The notes upon the bottom of the poster will include the Directors, Actors and such of the film and will source them where necessary to give full credit to what has been used.
I believe that this poster is conventional as it follows the Rule of Thirds and the Gutenberg Diagram, this allows for the poster to be appealing for the audience, the poster is also conventionally because it flows with other Crime/Comedy posters in design and allows for the poster to establish its place within its chosen genre through the use of mystery of the mask as the criminal is not generally shown on the cover of Crime/Comedy magazines.
*The name of the movie is still not finally decided, though this is a highly rated choice of title for the movie.

Day 10.9.1: Planning - Movie Poster Design Concept/Sketch §1
This movie poster is based highly upon my design brief, it contains the two main characters at either side of the poster, using them to frame the main optical focus of the poster. This also allows for the actors to be seen easily without having one of them be the main focus of the poster as they are both the main actors.
The centre of the poster contains a Police Station, this is relevant as the police station can be seen within the trailer of the film and it allows for the audience viewing the poster to instantly recognise that the poster is of a crime film, as police stations are blatantly with crime.
The title of the film is located at the top of the poster, this allows it to be the first thing that the audience sees when viewing the poster and will be instantly recognised if seen anywhere else. The title of the movie is subject to change as I have still not fully decided upon a title for the film that I am creating.
Conventionally I included the names of the two main actors above their models allowing for them to be recognised easily and audiences who have seen them in other films can relate and be attracted to this movie more easily than if the names were not apparent.
Unconventionally I did not include a release date or notes at the bottom of the Movie Poster, this could be an error on my side as I included them within my notes stating that they are important. If I plan on using this design poster I will include a release date and notes under the two actors and police station.
Although not apparent in the poster as it is Black & White, I will be using a blue and white colour scheme with this design, as this is easily related to the police force and protection, this will also aid the viewer of the poster in knowing what the film is based upon.
The fonts used on the Movie Poster will be the fonts from the band creating the soundtrack for the trailer of the film, this will allow me to easily relate and be recognised by the listeners of that genre of music, this will also increase the audience of who will be interested within the film.
Day 10.8: Planning - Movie Posters
As previously mentioned upon Day 3: Research into Technical Aspects ~ Movie Posters
I researched two different movie posters from the genre of movie I am creating, Crime/Comedy.
Both of these posters that I reviewed had similar conventions, such as; Both posters contain the two main actors as the main aspect of the poster, this allows for the viewer to instantly recognise who the main starts of the movie are and to relate it to other movies of the genre as most crime/comedy posters follow this convention.
Both posters also contain the date of release for the movie on the lower section of the poster, this is because it is a major part of the advertising and should be the last thing the viewer of the poster remembers, which is why it is at the bottom.
Another similarity between the two posters is that they both contain a caption under the movie title showing what other movies have been directed by the directors of the movie, this allows for the viewers of the poster to instantly recognise any movies noted without having to do any research.
The final similarity between the two posters is that both of the actors in each poster have their names above their heads, this allows for the viewer to instantly recognise the actors and make them want to see the movie more. With famous names like Ben Stiller and Simon Pegg, it makes the movie more attractive to those who weren't as interested in it as other viewers.

With famous names like Ben Stiller and Simon Pegg, it makes the movie more attractive to those who weren't as interested in it as other viewers.
For this reason, the Movie Poster that I will be creating will attempt to follow these conventions, I will include the two main actors as framing to the title of the film which will be located above them. I will also include the actors names above their head so that they can be recognised instantly by the viewer of the poster and allow for it to be more accessible.
I will also include a caption underneath the movie title that will be a small brief phrase about the movie that I will be creating, this will give the viewer of the poster a brief understanding of what the movie is and what it is meant to be.
To allow for the viewer of the poster to be able to understand the context of the movie the background of the poster will be a Police Station, similar to how the Hot Fuzz movie poster is set in the countryside to allow the viewer to imagine the scene for themselves. This will allow for the poster to be more accessible.
Following the rule of thirds I will include the date of release for the movie in the lower section of the poster, this will allow for it to be the last section that the viewer focuses upon and allow for them to easily allow to memorise the date of realise.
I will use a longshot on the two main actors within the film poster, this will allow me to maximise the amount of space on the page that they will fill up, as they are not well known actors compared to Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn they will need to leave an impression on the viewer as to why they should see this movie.
The colour scheme I will use on the movie poster will be based upon Blue/White, I have chosen these colours as they are highly associated with the police as blue is the colour of the sirens and costumes where as white is the colour association with peace and protection, allowing for the viewer to recognise the context of the movie poster.
The House Style Text I will use for the movie poster will be the text of the bands logo who created the soundtrack of the film, this will allow for the viewer to instantly recognise the soundtrack of the film and could attract a larger audience due to the text font style.
I will use the rule of thirds in the movie poster that I am creating which will allow for the viewer to easily recognise and establish what the movie is and what the poster is, similar to the Hot Fuzz movie poster that I have reviewed.

Day 10.7: Planning - Risk Assessments
I have completed 4 risk assessments for my media studies recording project, I have needed to complete these to analyse all the risks of recording in the separate areas of the film, all possible risks have been named and how to fix the problems and the level of risk with recording is also named on the sheets, this allows me to easily see if the area is suitable for filming.
Note: I apologize for the state of my terrible handwriting.
Day 10.5: Planning - Filming Times ~ Revised.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I will have to reschedule the majority of the filming times, although over the past week I still managed to record during the Monday and Tuesday of the holiday.
The new filming times that I have chosen, will have to be suitable times for all the actors within my trailer. For ease of use and accessibility in filming times, I have chosen to complete my recording times before the end of November. This will allow me enough to for editing and other sections of the coursework that may need to be completed before this time.
I will start filming on, Thursday the 8th of November, I have chosen this time as I finish college early this day and one of the main actors is not at college, this will allow me to be able to easily film scenes with one of the main actors in, then later in the day film with both of them. On this day I will be filming at the behind section of phoenix park, I have chosen to continue filming at this place first as this is where the majority of the filming will take place. While recording here previously I have completed the section of the trailer recording of the scene where the police officers catch the criminal and let him escape. I will need to complete the rest of the scenes that take place in this section according to my shot list.
On Saturday the 10th of November, I will continue filming within Phoenix Park, I will not need to have access to the open field this time as I have completed it on the previous date of 30th October, instead I will continue the filming of the tunnelled area of Phoenix Park, this will allow me to spread the recording over multiple days allowing for it to be easier for the actors and for me to have extra shots and takes of scenes for within the trailer.
On, Monday & Tuesday the 12th & 13th, I will be filming within my own home as a office, this will allow me to have multiple days dedicated to recording in the home and allow for a multitude of shots and takes of the scenes needed. I have chosen these days as on Monday, all of the main actors are free and on Tuesday, one of the main actors is free then after three all of the main actors are free, this allows me to easily have enough time to record during these days. I have already recorded the section outside the police station needed so this will free up time which can be dedicated to other sections of the recording that needs to be completed or re-done.
On, Wednesday 14th, Thursday 15th and Friday the 16th I will be recording within Longton Park, this will allow me enough time to be able to set up and record their with ease of access and the range of days set for this will allow me to go and record on a different day if the weather or another unforeseen circumstance stops me from recording freely.
From these times I have chosen to record I have allowed myself time within different shots and takes to allow me to review the shots to re-record them or to edit them where necessary, this will allow me the maximum amount of time possible to create a quality product.
